• The one calendar month waiting period will not apply unless there is a lapse in the monthly premium payment between Change of Ownership.

Yes, you have a 14 day money back guarantee period from the start date of your policy to review and cancel with no obligation. If you would like to cancel your policy after this period we require one month's written notice to cancel (there will not a be a refund). If your pet has unexpectedly passed away, we will refund any premiums that have been debited for cover for the following months on an annual policy (one month cancellation period will not apply).

If your pet gets lost someone will take them to a veterinarian or pet welfare organization to be scanned. The scanner picks up the microchip number and shows it on a screen. This microchip number is then phoned through or sent by SMS message to the microchip company. Within a minute or two a message is received back with the pet owner's name and phone numbers.

Most veterinarians in South Africa are equipped to scan all animals whether they are pets or lost, abandoned or stolen. All branches of the SPCA, as well as Animal Welfare Organizations are supplied with scanners to assist them in the identification of pets. If someone finds your pet it must be taken to the nearest veterinarian or welfare organization to be scanned.
